Hailee has had a brief but impressive professional career as a performer, actor and model. Her first big break was when she played Mattie in the film "True Grit.' When she made her debut in 1993, she was thirteen. The ferocious and assured performance earned her numerous critical award nominations and plenty of fans have already seen the superstar she was set to be. In recognition of her versatility in music and skill, she's been awarded numerous awards, such as a Billboard Music Award, a Peabody Award, and the 'Critics' Choice Movie Awards.' She has received nominations for several awards, including the "Golden Globe Award,"" the "British Academy Film Award,"" an Screen Actors Guild Award," an "Academy Award," and three 'Critics' Choice Movie Awards. She received nominations as well for a BAFTA Award>, an Academy Award>, and a Screen Actors Guild Award> for her role in the Western drama 'True Grit. Her roles in '3 Day to Kill', 'Ender's Game', 'Begin Again', and 'Romeo & Juliet' earned her prominence. Her work was recognized for her part in a coming-of age comedy-drama called "The Edge. An alumnus of Puyallup Washington Butler was interested in the arts when she was growing as a child. She was a singer in choirs, entered singing competitions and performed in the community theatre and in high school. She then moved in Los Angeles and studied theatre at the University of Southern California. for a year and a half, she played Belle the princess of Beauty and the Beast.
