Kyra M. Sedgwick (born Kyra Minturn) is an American TV personality and actress. The actress is a household name all over the planet especially in America. Sedgwick's love for the arts, Broadway and acting began when she was just 12 years older. She had been introduced to Broadway through her mother who was a Broadway lover. Sedgwick was the first acting experience at the age of 16, when she appeared in 'Another World,' an upcoming TV show. While she started out with smaller-scale roles on television however, it was the notion of becoming an actress who attracted her. Sedgwick was noticed in the grand-screen spotlight for the first time with her supporting role in the film 'Born On the Fourth of July' in which she appeared in the film with Tom Cruise. Sedgwick continued to get roles since she had successful with the film. There were other films like : Singles, Heart and Souls and Phenomenon. When she was just 22 years old, she married the actor Kevin Bacon after working in the television series Lemon Sky. Sedgwick was an incredibly popular actress on American TV for her remarkable performance on "The Closer", a seven-season TV series that earned her the Golden Globe Award and Emmy.
