Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada is an actress most well-known for her role as Bo on The Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk is born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk, and Peter Silk are the parents of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright as well as director, and she plays the role of drama instructor in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother while at work, and also attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for children. She was in 1997 when she graduated with a bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto Canada in the fall of 1999, to keep acting. She then relocated to Los Angeles California during the subsequent decade. She met her future husband, Seth Cooperman, at an actor's training held in Los Angeles in 2007. In 2009, the couple were married civilly in December 2009. They were married in Fredericton on the 10th of April in the couple renewed their vows, following Silk's decision to convert to Judaism. Silk gave birth to the son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second child was born in the month of the month of May in 2016. Silk has a number of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. She was nominated for Gemini Awards in 2009 to play this character. The role was assigned to her of Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian TV series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk revealed to fans the good announcement that she became pregnant while filming the final episode of season 3. The show was a pre-show exclusive for Season Three. This was shown by Showcase during a special Season Three show held January 6th, 2013 prior to the series' premiere. Silk confirmed via Twitter on June 20th that the show was coming back in production. Fourth season premiered on the 4th of June 2013 and was produced by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. Her portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers on Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top Television Couple of the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is a huge social media following, including Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its popularity.

An alumnus of Puyallup Washington Butler was interested in the arts when she was growing as a child. She was a singer in choirs, entered singing competitions and performed in the community theatre and in high school.
